Filgħodu jsir it-tqarbin tal-morda tal-ewwel grupp. Filgħaxija nagħtu bidu għal-laqgħat tal-adoloxxenti u ż-Żgħażagħ wara s-sajf. Inħeġġuhom jattendu. Is-Sibt 3 t’Ottubru niċċelebraw l-anniversarju tal-Konsagrazzjoni tal-Knisja Parrokkjali. Fis-7.00pm quddiesa animata mill-Kor Parrokkjali.

Il-Ħadd 4 t’Ottubru nistiednu lit-tfal u l-familji għall-quddiesa tal-10.30am li fiha ser inbierku l-basktijiet tal-iskola animata mill-Kor tat-Tfal tal-Parroċċa. Jingħata l-mandat lill-katekisti għas-sena li ġejja. Wara ser issir Open Day l-Oratorju, fejn jitbierku l-klassijiet, jkun hemm logħob għat-tfal u ikel u xorb għall-bejgħ. Inħeġġukom tattendu.
Filgħaxija niċċelebraw il-Festa tal-Madonna tar-Rużarju. Fil-5.00pm quddiesa animata mill-Kor u wara Purċissjoni li fiha nitolbu t-talba tar-Rużarju li tgħaddi minn Triq Sir Harry Luke, San Pawl, San Pietru, Fisher u lura l-Knisja fejn nirċievu l-Barka Sagramentali.
It-Tnejn 5 t’Ottubru niċċelebraw il-Festa ta’ San Franġisk fil-Kappella tas-Sorijiet Franġiskani. Fis-6.30pm Rużarju u saċerdot disponibbli għall-qrar u fis-7.00pm Quddiesa. Din is-sena qed niċċelebraw it-800 sena mill-mewt ta’ San Franġisk u tista’ tinkiseb l-indulġenza plenarja mill-knejjes Franġiskani kollha billi l-Insara jersqu għall-qrar u t-tqarbin u jitolbu skont l-intenzjoni tal-Papa. Il-Quddiesa ta’ filgħaxija fil-Knisja ma ssirx u kulħadd mistieden.
L-Azzjoni Kattolika tal-Imġarr qed jorganizzaw Ħarġa għal Għawdex nhar it-Tlieta 6 t’Ottubru. Nitilqu fis-7.30am u niġu lura ma’ tal-5.00pm. Booking mal-membri tal-A.K.
Mill-Erbgħa 7 t’Ottubru tibda s-sena tal-katekeżi għat-tfal fl-Oratorju. Infakkru li s-snin minn Year 2 sas-sena tal-Griżma huma kollha obbligatorji. Il-ġenituri għandhom laqgħa it-Tlieta 6 t’Ottubru fis-7.30pm fil-Knisja Parrokkjali.

PARISH NOTICES:
Thursday 1 October – In the morning there will be Adoration organised by the Divine Mercy Group. In the evening, after Mass, there will be community Adoration. During the month of October, from Monday to Saturday, we will pray the Rosary in front of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament at 6.30pm. At 8.00pm there will be the meeting for Young Adults 20+ at the Oratory.
Friday 2 October, the First Friday of the month. In the morning, the Chapel of the Franciscan Sisters will be open for silent prayer. Holy Communion will be taken to the sick of the first group. In the evening, we begin the meetings for adolescents and young people after the summer break. We encourage them to attend. Details about the times can be found on the Facebook page or WhatsApp Channel of ŻAK Mġarr.
Saturday 3 October – We celebrate the anniversary of the Consecration of the Parish Church. At 7.00pm there will be Mass animated by the Parish Choir.
In the afternoon, there will be rehearsals for the Children’s Choir in the Church.
Sunday 4 October – We invite children and families to the 10.30am Mass, during which school bags will be blessed. The Mass will be animated by the Parish Children’s Choir. The catechists will also be commissioned for the coming year. Afterwards, there will be an Open Day at the Oratory, where the classrooms will be blessed, there will be games for the children, and food and drinks will be available for sale. We encourage everyone to attend.
In the evening we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. At 5.00pm there will be Mass animated by the Choir, followed by a procession during which we will pray the Rosary. The procession will pass through Sir Harry Luke Street, St Paul Street, St Peter Street and Fisher Street, before returning to the Church, where we will receive Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.
Monday 5 October – We celebrate the Feast of St Francis at the Chapel of the Franciscan Sisters. At 6.30pm there will be the Rosary, with a priest available for Confession, followed by Mass at 7.00pm. This year we are celebrating the 800th anniversary of the death of St Francis. A plenary indulgence can be obtained in all Franciscan churches by the faithful who go to Confession and receive Holy Communion and pray according to the intentions of the Pope. The evening Mass in the Parish Church will not take place, and everyone is invited to attend.
The Catholic Action of Mġarr is organising a day trip to Gozo on Tuesday 6 October. We will leave at 7.30am and return at around 5.00pm. Booking can be made with members of Catholic Action.
From Wednesday 7 October, the catechetical year for children begins at the Oratory. We remind parents that all years from Year 2 up to the year of Confirmation are compulsory. Parents will have a meeting on Tuesday 6 October at 7.30pm in the Parish Church.

The collection for the Holy Land last weekend amounted to €1,255. Heartfelt thanks! Next weekend there will be a special collection for the needs of the Parish.
