Ser issir bibita bħala ringrazzjament għal dawk kollha li taw is-sehem tagħhom fil-preparamenti għall-festa nhar l-Erbgħa 27 t’Awwissu fis-7.30pm l-Oratorju.

L-Envelope li qed jitqassam fid-djar b’risq l-ispejjeż tal-festa mhux ser jinġabar, għalhekk min jixtieq jikkontribwixxi għandu jġib l-envelope il-knisja.
Bukketti li ma jinxfux: Min jixtieq jagħmel l-offerta tiegħu fil-festa, bukkett li ma jinxifx, din is-sena ser imorru biex issir l-art il-ġdida tal-irħam tas-Sagristija. Min jixtieq jikkontribwixxi għandu javviċina lill-Kappillan.
Nixtiequ nirringrazzjaw mill-qalb lil kull min qed jagħti s-sehem tiegħu biex norganizzaw il-festa tagħna kemm fil-Knisja u anke fuq barra. Nitolbu li dawn iċ-ċelebrazzjonijiet iħallu ġid spiritawali fil-komunità tagħna. F’isem is-Saċerdoti u l-kunsill pastorali parrokkjali nawguraw lil kulħadd il-festa t-tajba.

Tomorrow/Today – Our Parish Feast Day of the Assumption
At 9:00am, there will be the Solemn Pontifical Mass of the Feast, led by His Excellency Mons. George Bugeja OFM, Bishop of Tripoli. The festive sermon will be delivered by Fr. Alan Joseph Adami O.P.
At 11:00am, there will be a Low Mass.
(There will be no 10:30am Mass, and in Żebbiegħ, there will not be an 11:30am Mass.)
At 12:00pm, the Angelus prayer will be recited near the statue of the Assumption beside the Church, followed by the offering for the lifting of the statue.
At 5:30pm, there will be a Mass including the Second Vespers of the Feast.
At 7:00pm, the procession with the statue of Santa Marija will begin. As it approaches Triq Vitale, the Rosary will begin. Near the Oratory, the Children’s Choir will welcome Santa Marija.
At 10:00pm, we will welcome the statue on the church parvis, and at 10:30pm, it will be brought back into the church and the Eucharistic Blessing will be given.
A refreshment gathering as a thank you to all who helped in the feast preparations will be held on Wednesday, 27th August at 7:30pm in the Oratory.
On Thursday, 28th August, after the evening Mass, there will be a moment of Adoration.
On Saturday, 30th August, after the 7:00pm Mass, the statue of Santa Marija will be returned to its niche.
Catechism Registration for Children
Registration for the coming catechetical year will be held on 1st, 2nd, and 4th September between 4:00pm and 6:00pm at the Oratory. More details are available online.
Please note that no year of catechism is optional (except Year 1), and no year can be skipped for children preparing for the sacraments.
This weekend’s collection will go toward the expenses of the feast.
Reminder about the Sacristy scheme.
The envelope being distributed to homes in aid of the feast expenses will not be collected, so those wishing to contribute should bring the envelope to church.
Those wishing to make an offering for the feast, this year’s proceeds will go toward the new marble flooring of the Sacristy. Anyone wishing to contribute should contact the Parish Priest.
We would like to heartily thank everyone who contributed to organizing our feast, both inside and outside the Church.
