Il-Ġimgħa 3 ta’ Lulju isir it-tqarbin tal-morda tal-ewwel grupp. Il-kappella tas-Sorijiet tkun miftuħa għat-talb fis-skiet fin-nofstanhar ta’ filgħodu. Filgħaxija l-uffiċċju parrokkjali ma jiftaħx.

Il-weekend li ġej issir il-ġabra speċjali għall-bżonnijiet tal-Parroċċa.

Ħarġu d-dettalji għal Klabb Sajf fl-Oratorju u l-korsijiet l-oħra. Dettalji online, inħeġġukom tibbukkjaw il-post għat-tfal tagħkom. Iż-ŻAK ukoll ħarġu l-programm tas-sajf għaż-żgħażagħ u l-adoloxxenti, inħeġġuhom jieħdu sehem.

L-Erbgħa 8 ta’ Lulju l-Kummissjoni Familja qed torganizza Food for thought. Diskussjoni dwar topics relatati mal-familja waqt li nieklu flimkien. Ser ikun hemm panel li jmexxi: Fr Brendan Gatt, Rosette Said Sarreo, psikoterapista u Charmaine u Leslie Caruana mill-grupp Belong. Koppji u għarajjes ta’ kull eta’ mistednin. Ikel b’xejn. Nibdew fis-7.30pm fl-Oratorju. Registrazzjoni online permezz tal-google form.

Il-ġabra tal-weekend li għadda b’risq il-festa ta’ Santa Marija kienet ta’ €1310. Grazzi mill-qalb.

Nawguraw lil Sr Levina, Diana, Miriam, Rael, Calista u Leonora li nhar it-Tlieta li għadda bdew in-novizzjat fil-Kunvent tal-Imġarr. Nitolbu għalihom u għal aktar vokazzjonijiet fi ħdan il-kongregazzjoni tagħhom.

Hekk kif ninsabu fix-xhur tas-Sajf, nitolbukom sabiex meta tiġu l-knisja, taraw li l-ilbies ikun diċenti u li jixraq lid-Dar t’Alla. Ilbies skullat u bla kmiem ma jmurx fil-knisja għalhekk fuq wara hemm ix-xalel. Dan kollu jgħodd għal waqt it-tiġijiet u kull ċelebrazzjoni li ssir fil-Knisja.

Matul din il-ġimgħa ttieħed il-kwadru titulari tal-Knisja Parrokkjali għar-restawr għand id-ditta Prevarti u li ser jiġi ffinanzjat mill-Gal Majjistral. Għalhekk b’mod temporanju għal dawn ix-xhur li ġejjin, sakemm jitlesta r-restawr, waħħlna t-titular tal-knisja l-qadima.

Parish Notices – 29 June to 5 July 2026

The collection this weekend will go towards Peter’s Pence, supporting the charitable works of Pope Leo, especially in assisting those affected by emergencies, natural disasters, and war.

Monday, 29 June – Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul
Masses will be celebrated according to the weekday schedule.

Tuesday, 30 June
The altar servers’ meeting will be held at 5:30 pm in the Oratory.

Thursday, 2 July
In the morning, the Divine Mercy Group will hold a time of Eucharistic Adoration. In the evening, following Mass, there will be Community Adoration.

Friday, 3 July
Holy Communion will be brought to the sick in the first group. The Sisters’ Chapel will be open during the late morning for silent prayer. Please note that the Parish Office will be closed in the evening.

As usual, we warmly invite all children and their families to the 10:30 am Mass.

We also remind everyone of the Sacristy roster.

Next weekend there will be a special collection for the needs of the Parish.

Details for the Summer Club at the Oratory and the other summer courses have now been published. Information is available online, and we encourage parents to book places for their children as soon as possible. ŻAK has also published its summer programme for young people and adolescents, and we encourage them to take part.

Wednesday, 8 July
The Family Commission is organising Food for Thought – an evening of discussion on family-related topics while sharing a meal together.

The panel will be led by:

Fr Brendan Gatt
Rosette Said Sarreo (Psychotherapist)
Charmaine and Leslie Caruana from the Belong group

Married couples and engaged couples of all ages are warmly invited. Food will be provided free of charge. The event begins at 7:30 pm in the Oratory. Registration is available online through the Google Form.

The collection taken last weekend in aid of the Feast of Santa Marija amounted to €1,310. Thank you sincerely for your generosity.

We extend our best wishes to Sr Levina, Diana, Miriam, Rael, Calista and Leonora, who began their novitiate at the Mġarr Convent last Tuesday. Let us keep them in our prayers, and also pray for more vocations to their congregation.

As we are now in the summer months, we kindly ask everyone to dress modestly when coming to church, in a manner befitting the House of God. Low-cut and sleeveless clothing is not appropriate for church; shawls are available at the back of the church for those who need them. This also applies to weddings and all other celebrations held in the church.

During this week, the Parish Church’s titular painting was taken to Prevarti for restoration, a project being funded by GAL Majjistral. During the restoration period, which is expected to last several months, the titular painting from the old parish church has been temporarily installed in its place.

During this past week, we also bid our final farewell to Duminka Farrugia.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.
